Radish seeds are easily directly sown in your garden at regular intervals for a constant supply of radishes. This process known as succession planting guarantees you have a steady supply of radishes all season long. Because radish seeds are so easy to plant, we recommend squeezing them in-between other crops to maximize space and yield.  Radishes have a long history of being grown. So much so that you can find references to radishes in green mythology. Gold radishes were gifted to the god of Apollo as an offering and blessing. Wild radishes, still present in many parts of the United States, are the ancestors of the cultivated radishes we eat today. Through selection and breeding, the radishes available today have been bred for better texture and root development, better flavor, and quicker production.  When growing radish from seed, you have the advantage of planting radish seeds of many different varieties, which are much more interesting than store-bought radishes. You also can take advantage of the wide range of flavor profiles found in diverse radish varieties, like the spicy flavors of daikon radishes and the mild flavor of European radishes. Our radishes have been carefully chosen for flavor, yield, and color. They are guaranteed not to be bitter and to germinate quickly in well-moistened soil. It is best to succession plant radishes for a continuous harvest. Radishes enjoy cooler temperatures and ample moisture in the soil—harvest radishes at the optimal size for the best flavor and texture. Radishes can be squeezed between other crops in the garden, flower beds, and containers. Great for small space and patio growers! Â
