Sunspot is a dwarf annual sunflower with large, yellow flowers grown on single stalks. Ideal for cut flowers.

A dwarf annual sunflower with large, yellow flowers on 2′ tall stems. Sunspot sunflowers reach maturity about 20 days earlier than taller varieties. Great for container gardening and the edible seeds are quite delicious. Plant seeds 6″ apart and 1/2″ deep after spring frost. Thin to 1′ apart when plants reach 2″ tall.

Flowers: Edible seeds. Blooms can be year-round for Southern California growers.

Attracts: Attracts bees and butterflies; leaves are favored by finches and other birds.

Soil: Adaptable to various, moderately fertile soil types.
