SoCal Soiree Sweet Pea

Sweet Peas are one of our favorite flowers! SoCal Soiree came out of an interesting mix of all our favorite and most prolific sweet peas. SoCal Soiree sweet peas will give you beautiful bursts of color and fragrance following you to the ends of the garden. Grown on a trellis or left to grow wild in the garden, they will happily reseed and bring about years of beautiful blooms. Recommended Planting Requirements: Loose well-drained soil is the best for peas. Organic matter can be added for a healthier harvest. Peas are best grown up a trellis or other support system for neatness. These flowers should be sown in the fall for early spring blooms in Zones 9 and 10. If you get frost in your area, you will need to protect the plants with row covers. Seeds are slow to germinate and can be soaked beforehand to help speed up the process. Growing Recommendation: Peas need cool weather for the best growth. In areas with mild winters, start seeds in late fall for spring blooms. For prolonged blooms, succession planting is recommended. Sweet Peas, Finnriver ORGANIC

This variety of sweet peas came to us from our friends in Oregon. After trialing them in the fall of 2017 with amazing results, we decided to produce the seed for our customers. These sweet peas have dainty white and pink blooms. They make a stunning bouquet with our Point Loma Pops sweet peas! This regionally adapted and locally grown variety of sweet pea came to us from a seed saver in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego. She has been growing these stunning sweet peas since 1993 and shared them with us! Point Loma Pops have gorgeous deep, dark purple flowers that are full of fragrance and resistant to powdery mildew.
