How do we decide what to carry? All our seeds are variety trialed and tested here in San Diego California on our 1 acre certified organic urban farm. We trial our seeds to make sure they grow well here and have the flavor, growing characteristics, and yields that are growers need.  This is all part of our commitment to bring only the best to are growers.

  • These old-fashioned hollyhocks grow tall stocks of 8-10 feet with beautiful blooms of pink, rose, white, and salmon. The tall blooming spires make for impressive showstoppers and screens in the garden. These plants should be planted in full sun and not allowed to shade other plants that need full sun in the garden. Hollyhocks will bloom the first year from seed if planted early in spring or late winter in mild climates. If planted later, they will bloom the following summer.
